HENRIETTA WHITE V HETTY COOK

HENRIETTA WHITE IS NOT HETTY COOK AND HETTY COOK IS NOT HENRIETTA WHITE. Although they may have never been seen in the same place at the same time, and although they both married men named MOSES LINVILLE, they are not the same woman.

One is my ancestor and the other is not... Sure HENRIETTA could be called HETTY, but the  last names being different should be a red flag for any researcher that looks at them. Sure they both lived in North Carolina and in the Surry District and they both married guys named MOSES, but that does not make them the same....  

HENRIETTA R WHITE and BETHANIA HETTY COOK are obviously not the same people and do not have the same parents...  I have seen the records in the hints folder too and even though numerous people have joined the two girls into siamese twins on ancestry, the trees are not reliable sources and sometimes people with similar names get mistaken for each other....

I write this to make a point... dont copy someones work or jump to conclusions... research and prove claims before you write them in stone... and be aware that at any time new evidence may come to light and prove a guess wrong... even if its an educated one.

Keep climbing the trees and searching for their roots...
